The Digital Intelligence and Influence Lab (DIIL) uses digital monitoring and experimental approaches to better understand digital influence. DIIL is a cross-disciplinary University of Edinburgh consortium with International Cultural Relations and M&C Saatchi World Services, based in the Edinburgh Futures Institute.

Our mission

Our mission is to be a focal point for understanding digital influence by developing world-leading methodologies for understanding digital influence and its role in politics, the economy and society. By doing so, we aim to help improve policy, strategy and decision making in the public and not-for-profit sectors, to inform and contribute to thinking on global challenges, and the Sustainable Development Goals.
