The Edinburgh Futures Institute (EFI) is seeking expressions of interest from academic colleagues within the University of Edinburgh who would like to work within EFI to develop new forms of interdisciplinary postgraduate education.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the intellectual agenda and teaching portfolio of the new Institute, which will open in 2021 and be housed in the renovated Old Royal Infirmary on Lauriston Place.

We are looking to appoint nine academic secondees to help develop an innovative new portfolio of postgraduate education. The secondments are for 2 days per week for 3 years in the first instance, and are available to academics at grade 8 and above from across all three Colleges.

If you are an active researcher and committed teacher, with a vision for a future of higher education which cuts across disciplines, we would very much like to hear from you.

EFI will be a world-leading hub for data innovation focused on social good and complex, global challenges; a quarter for world-leading interdisciplinary teaching and research; and a locus for strong local, regional and global partnerships.

Full details of the secondments, along with key contact details, are available below. The deadline for expressions of interest is 31 January 2019.
