Citizens Data Agency Event Series – What mobilises people against Big-Tech?

11th October 2023 6:00 PM 7:00 PM BST

Join us for the first Citizens Data Agency public event with Dr. Elinor Carmi, who will share her latest research report titled “What mobilises people against Big-Tech?”. This report builds on previous research with colleagues at Liverpool University that argues that contrary to arguments about people’s resignation and cynicism about their privacy and digital rights, they found that people do care but do not know what to do about it. This new report asks digital rights NGO practitioners to share their experience around campaigns with different communities – what worked, what did not work and how can we move forward to challenge the power asymmetries we have with Big-Tech.
