Alex is the Head of Innovation Services and the Director of the Data for Children Collaborative at the Edinburgh Futures Institute. She is responsible for helping others to ‘do things differently’ by creating the space to explore and embed ideas and methods. Alex’s teams work together to develop methodologies and tools to enhance EFI’s offering for staff, partners and students. We offer support on digital research methods, collaboration, co-creation, futures and foresight practices. We build and leverage connections across stakeholders to enable collaboration and impact.
In addition to her role in leading on Innovation Services, Alex established and directs the Data for Children Collaborative – a specialist unit at EFI focused on improving outcomes for children through the responsible use of data. This award winning unit has built frameworks and approaches to deliver transdisciplinary challenge-led data collaboration that focus on impact.
