Alexis Pister is a data visualisation specialist who helps build interactive applications and data visualisation interfaces in the context of data-intensive research projects on arts, humanities, social sciences, and computer science. As such, he supports the prototype, development, deployment, and maintenance of data visualisation applications, that aim to allow deep exploration of data and impactful communication of findings. He has a Ph.D. from Paris-Saclay University on network visualisation applied to historical records.
New Innovation Service
Edinburgh Futures Institute is developing a new Innovation Service to support partners, researchers and collaborators deliver challenge-led innovation. This new service brings together expertise and practice across the Institute and comprises of three new teams: the Futures and Design Team, the Collaborative Impact Team and the Data-led Methods and Research Technology Team.

The Data-led Methods and Research Technology team builds capacity for data-led research and innovative digital research methods. This team also supports the Centre for Culture, Data and Society.
