Chris Chapman, a sculptor turned tech entrepreneur, brings a unique blend of creativity and commercial acumen to Edinburgh Futures Institute. His extensive experience in leading tech and media businesses to international success aligns with the Futures Institute’s goals of fostering innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration. 

Chris plans to actively participate in our co-working space and contribute to ongoing projects, with a focus on creative industries and climate sustainability. He aims to support the Institute’s participation in the immersive tech CoSTAR programme.

Background  

Chris has co-founded several tech/media businesses, led university medtech research teams, and developed zero-carbon building systems. He currently works as a non-exec director, consultant, and mentor, leveraging his extensive fundraising and investment experience in the UK, Scotland, and the USA. Chris’s work has included collaborations with Scottish Government’s Techscaler and other high-growth networks.
