Emily Allan sits in the Data-Led Methods and Research Technology team within Edinburgh Futures Institute’s (EFI) Innovation Services where she coordinates the events and training programmes delivered under the Centre for Data Culture & Society (CDCS). This includes administering and organising seminars, workshops, and larger events. These initiatives contribute to the team’s mission of promoting data-driven research and supporting communities of practice within the academic and wider communities.
Emily’s experience spans student engagement, events management, and communications, with a strong focus on widening participation. Emily has organised a variety of study trips, academic events and outreach activities to aid in fostering inclusive learning communities.
