Gillian Stirling is the Wellbeing Adviser for the Edinburgh Futures Institute and is part of the Student Wellbeing Service. The Student Wellbeing Service works collaboratively with colleagues across the University to provide proactive and reactive wellbeing support and is the University’s escalation point for students who need specialised emotional, health and pastoral support.Gillian has many years of experience in the field of health and wellbeing, having previously worked in the third sector and NHS. Gillian brings a wide range of knowledge and skills to the team and is passionate about promoting mental wellbeing in a non-medical manner.Gillian holds a BA (Hons) in Health and Social care, which specialises in mental health. She is also a facilitator in Living Life to The Full and holds certificates in Mental Health First Aid and ASIST Suicide First Aid.
