I am a poet interested in working collaboratively across disciplines, in particular with other art forms, although I am interested in poetic and narrative modes of academic writing too and the possibilities this offers to other disciplines . I have a keen interest in the fields of health and wellbeing, and the environmental and digital humanities.

As an EFI Fellow, I have already experienced the support and connection-making that I know the Institute has to offer. This has been in relation to co-designing and delivering postgraduate courses, but I have also worked with colleagues on an illustrated anthology of stories about bio-tech inspired futures as well as a project on speculative surveillance in education, both of which received EFI funding. I would love to do more of this – to collaborate as a creative practitioner with interested colleagues across EFI – and, for me, the chance to be matched to eclectic projects that would benefit from the engagement of a poet/interdisciplinary scholar would be very welcome. On a more specific note, I have applied for a period of study leave where I hope to collaborate with a jeweller or jewellers on incorporating digital poetry in design and this could fit with the theme of Design Futures. But I am very open to pitching in wherever my skills and background would be an asset.
