As Learning Technologist within the Education Team at the Edinburgh Futures Institute, Javier works with Course Organisers and Programme Directors to support their use of digital technologies for teaching and learning.
Javier is a digital education specialist with over ten years of experience who finds the integration of pedagogy, technology, and context fascinating, which he has applied in various projects. These include the coordination of large-scale digital education programmes and the creation and delivery of postgraduate degrees, MOOCs and CPD courses, in a wide range of scenarios, such as higher education, social projects, rural education, and teacher training in Europe, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East.
Javier has a BSc (Hons) in Teaching and Psychopedagogy and an MSc in International Development (University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain), and an MSc in Digital Education with distinction (University of Edinburgh).
