Sian Bayne is Professor of Digital Education and Director of the Centre for Research in Digital Education – a large, interdisciplinary research hub which looks at how society, culture and politics intersect with education in all its digital and postdigital forms.Sian’s own research is focused on higher education futures and on interdisciplinary and critical approaches to researching digital education. She is currently working with utopias, imaginaries of ‘enhancement’ and more-than-human ontologies. Sian was Director of Education at the Edinburgh Futures Institute from 2018-2023, and has a university-level role as Assistant Principal Education Futures.
