The Edinburgh Futures Institute website has launched today (14 August).

The launch is an important new step for the University of Edinburgh Institute, which will break down traditional barriers to grapple with some of the world’s most pressing questions.

As well as outlining the Institute’s ambitious vision, the website will feature EFI-related news and events from across the University and beyond.
Visitors to the site will also have access to information on the redevelopment of the former Royal Infirmary Hospital at Quartermile.

The multi-million-pound project to develop the category A listed building into a state-of-the-art home for EFI is due to be completed in 2021.

Once complete, it will bring together people and organisations from across the University and beyond to tackle major issues within the economy, education and society.

The Edinburgh Futures Institute is a key project set to be supported by the recently announced Edinburgh and South-East Scotland City Deal.
