Innovation Unit is a UK-wide social enterprise with a mission to grow and scale the boldest and best innovations that deliver long-term impact for people, address persistent inequalities, and transform the systems that surround them. They are a multidisciplinary team, combining years of experience in public, third and private sector, research and service design, including in education, health, justice, and place-based transformation, using proven innovation methodologies that create impact and long term sustainable change.
Innovation Unit creates bold collaborations and partnerships that transform systems and places. Their place-based innovation methods support large-scale and sustainable change, by designing new solutions, supporting successful implementation, and taking them to scale for greater impact. They work closely with communities, people with lived-experience and frontline staff, to dig deep to find root causes of problems, challenge assumptions and design and test new ways of living and working. They do this at a national, regional and local level, coaching people and leaders to tackle today’s urgent problems, create sustainable solutions for the future and build capability to ensure that these new ways of living and working will be maintained long after their work is complete.
