Emma McAllister is the Learning Technology and Design Lead in the Edinburgh Futures Institute’s education team. She has advised on the learning technology and design requirements for the Institute’s digital learning environment and delivery model to support the educational vision.
Emma has worked in Learning Technology for almost 20 years in a variety of sectors, including culture and heritage, primary & secondary education, and most recently was Digital Learning Developer in Queen’s University Belfast.
She is particularly interested in how to provide a new type of university experience for students who aren’t on the same campus – looking into new platforms and spaces that will allow Edinburgh Futures Institute students to connect with each other (and the wider university community) regardless of where they are located.
