The 2021 Creative Informatics Innovation Showcase is taking place online on the 8th and 9th of June, exploring ground-breaking new work from the creative industries in Edinburgh, South East Scotland and beyond!

Highlights include an ‘In Conversation With’ Anne-Marie Imafidon MBE, Co-Founder of award-winning social enterprise Stemettes and host of the Women Tech Charge podcast, an interactive performance from comedy duo Foxdog Studios, and a Creative Futures Panel exploring the implications of Scotland’s AI Strategy and the Scottish Technology Ecosystem Review for the creative industries

Head along to this FREE event to find out more about innovative products, services and experiences that have been developed by creative individuals and organisations with funding and support Creative Informatics, a major research and development initiative led by the University of Edinburgh, delivered in partnership with Edinburgh Napier University, CodeBase, and Creative Edinburgh.

We’ll be hearing how individuals and organisations working across the creative industries are harnessing the power of data and technology to advance their careers and businesses, with contributions from designers, artists, games developers, creative technologists and performers.

Creative Informatics is one of nine programmes across the UK that make up the Creative Industries Clusters Programme, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council as part of the UK Government’s Industrial strategy. The programme is part of the City Region Deal Data Driven Innovation initiative and is supported by the Scottish Funding Council. To date the programme has invested over £1.6 million in Edinburgh and South East Scotland’s creative industries.
