Students from across the University are in the finals for a global challenge that will shape the future of transportation in the UK. The HypED team undergraduates, drawn from Edinburgh College of Art, the Business School, Mathematics, Engineering, Law and Informatics, are the only UK team in the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod II Competition final.
A cross-disciplinary research team has been awarded a £1.4M grant for an innovative research project to improve fire prevention in informal settlements. The three-year project, based in the UK and South Africa, will initially focus on settlements in the Cape Town area.
