Exhibition

AI Literacy Challenge

Location: Anthea Bond Exhibition Room
DATES:
5 – 11 August 2026
Opening times: MonDAY - FrIDAY 9am - 5pm

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is one of the most important technologies of our age and understanding how it works and the impact it has on our lives is more important than ever.

Community participants from the Grassmarket Community Project have taken part in a series of digital literacy workshops developed by Edinburgh Futures Institute in partnership with Phoenix Court which aim to build knowledge, skills and confidence with the ethical and responsible use of AI.

This exhibition charts our participants’ journeys through the workshops, from developing a foundational knowledge of AI, to developing skills with the use of AI tools, and applying their learning to a personal project build to benefit their community.

The exhibition showcases the outcomes of the project and how our participants’ ability to make informed, critical decisions about how they engage with AI technologies has developed.

With kind support from Phoenix Court.
