Recycling a hospital

Our ‘Recycling a Hospital’ project aims to reuse materials from the reconstruction of the Old Royal Infirmary, the future home of the Edinburgh Futures Institute.

The project aims to honour memories connected to the building and interweaves material and immaterial legacies of the building through a piece of artwork that connects woodwork, stonework and poetry.

The creative team behind ‘Recycling the Hospital’ project will be posting regular updates on the project’s website. If you have stories connected to the former hospital that you would like to share, we are curious to hear them! Please email Jennifer Williams or fill in the contact form on the project’s website.
