Mary Young joined the Centre for Technomoral Futures, part of the Edinburgh Futures Institute, in May 2024. As Executive Assistant to the Centre’s Director, Professor Shannon Vallor, Mary provides support by ensuring her time and workload is managed effectively, allowing the delivery of strategic objectives and priorities. Prior to starting at the Centre, she had worked in the Information Services Group (ISG) at the University of Edinburgh since 2019 in various roles. This included providing administrative and PA support to Gavin McLachlan, Vice Principal, Chief Information Officer and Librarian to the University. Mary also provided recruitment support to ISG staff and was heavily involved in organising and co-ordinating events.
