Jordan Watson joined the Edinburgh Futures Institute in April 2023 as the Administrative and Communications Officer for the Centre for Technomoral Futures, part of the Edinburgh Futures Institute. Her role includes supporting the Centre’s academic staff, PhD cohort and MSc students, as well as spearheading the development and implementation of a new digital communications plan, and assisting with the planning and delivery of events.
Jordan graduated from Queen Margaret University with an MSc in International Marketing in 2022, mobilising a career shift from her work in fundraising and the healthcare sector. This shift provided the opportunity for Jordan to utilise her newly developed academic knowledge of marketing, in addition to her practical experience, and apply it to one of her key areas of interest: applied ethics. She additionally holds an MA in Professional and Applied Ethics from the University of Melbourne.
